DUSTCON-A Waste Management System
WASTE MANAGEMENT system is required inorder to manage and dispose the waste properly. Due to improper waste management system causes 41 percent of air pollution takes place, which invites flyes and mosquitoes which in turn causes many diseases such as malaria,dengue, food d poisoning etc.Almost in every home we use dustbin to dispose wastes.. Everything is getting smareter nowadays. Have you think about Smart dustbin? We have come up with smart dustbin named as DUSTACON to monitor the garbage.
Talking about the DUSTACON, it has weight sensor hx711 which is used to measure quantity of waste present in the dustbin.It uses NODEMCU as controller and a servo motor for opening and closing of dustbin and two ultra sonic sensor are used for level and and obstacle measurement , the level is measured by sensor is send to dashboard using wifi present in nodemcu.
Lets see how DUSTACON works..The working of smart dustbin is quite simple.When a person comes infront of the dustbin , ultrasonic sensor senses the obstacles and send signal to nodemcu which drives the servo motor and the mouth of dustbin gets open.When a person leaves after disposing the waste the mouth of the dustbin gets closed.The second ultrasonic sensor measures the level of garbage inside the dustbin.This level measured by sensor is send to dashboard using wifi present in the nodemc and real time monitoring is acheived.
The main advantages of this DUSTACON are the it contains a sensor that will check the level of waste in it and send it to dashboard using wifi.When it is used in government project , the level indicator on dashboard will help to transport team to reach to require dustbin which saves the the time and fuel cost.It also encourages us for digital India and also for swach bharat abhiyan. Moreover, no more garbage will be left open on which flies and mosquitoes resides.It keeps surrounding clean and keep free from bad odour of waste.It gives you real time monitoring of waste.
For the next version of the DUSTACON , an alert notification will be send to the user when the dustbin is fully occupied.So its our duty to make the enviornment CLEAN AND NEAT to make GREEN ENVIRONMENT using proper waste management system .
