Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and its Appplication
As we know every bank has the system called Fraud detection system .So let's take the example of Credit card fraud detection system. Now any transactions coming in it judged on the basis of rules that we have designed. For example , the last transaction of access your credit card is far away from the access which showing on the transaction right now.It become suspicious.Second the usual amount of the transactions that may be in the month is of 20000-30000 rs cash from your credit card.Suddenly you made a transactions 500 thousand .So that is the huge number that become suspicious transactions.
If you want to judge the transactions according to the rules one way of doing it through human work force. So this human workforce was actually been used in 10-15 years back when there was no automation system or no automation tool invented. So there were lots of people whose sole purpose was to investigate lots of transactions and authorize the transactions based on the rules. But as and when automation came in now 95% transactions are automated and rest 5% transactions are anomaly. why they are anomaly?Anomaly transactions are those transactions basically cannot be judged by the automation system.
Now you cannot program your code to see your world. So there are some situation that the computer cannot judge so there is need of human intelligence .Will RPA replace the entire human work force? No. That is not entirely true.It may reduce the work force that is already existing in the project and it will never be able to replace the human work force. In every department we need a human touch because the basic difference between machine and human is machine are good in following the thing's that tell them but human are capable of thinking out of the box. They able to think new that machine cannot. There is always a vacancy for human to work inside of the part.
The RPA is relevant from company's perspective a that it saves cost, more accurate in lesser time, easy to implement and learn.
Meaning of RPA
RPA is a acronym for Robotic Process Automation. Let's understand this 3 words ie ROBOTIC is an entity which can be programmed to mimic human action , so entity which can mimic human activity on being programmed is called Robotic. Then comes PROCESS is the sequence of the step for the meaningful activity. Then comes the AUTOMATION basically means when a task happened automatically without human intervention. The meaning of RPA is the process that occur without human intervention.
RPA Tools.
The different tools that implement RPA is Ui path, blueprism and Automation Anywhere. The blueprism cannot be used it for free , you can request the company may be your are buying the product , they might give you trial version of 15 days that has to be requested from the company cannot directly download from their website. similar case of AUTOMATION ANYWHERE you might get a demo version when search in google. Ui path offer you commentie addition which strictly against the personal use.
Applications of RPA.
Some of the applications of RPA are Business process and activities(Quote-to-cash,Procure-to-pay(p2p)/source-to-pay(s2p),customer onboarding) , commercial functions( sales, customer relation management), support function activities(tech support , technology, finance,HR,Opreatons, Procurement), industry specific activities(banking, insurance , telecom, retail) and personal use such as digital assistants
